I wonder where that big beautiful Crucifix went...

This makes me almost weep. I think its worse to go from Good to Bad, as opposed to simply starting at bad... and like you said, that was "modern" - what some of us wouldnt do for Mid-Century Modern.

Wow. I think the worst parts are 1) the invasive handicap ramp and 2) theat trash about making the altar and ambo "equal".

I was thinking of the Christmas mass celebrations of my childhood in the 1970's and started looking for photos. I was very sad to see the alterations. As a student at Blessed Sacrament for 8 years and a parishioner for 15 years I have looked up at the lost crucifix while praying countless times. The new look is elegant but somehow it seems less Catholic.
