Relics of Blessed Miguel Pro to be installed at Guadalupe Shrine next fall

On this the Feast of Blessed Miguel Agustín Pro, the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is delighted to announce that on Sunday, September 23, 2012, two days before the twenty-fourth anniversary of his beatification, the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe will install a first-class relic of Blessed Miguel Agustín Pro in the side altar dedicated to him in the Shrine Church. Mark your calendars, and stay tuned for more details about this joyous event in the weeks and months ahead.

You might like to know that there are already relics of Bl. Miguel in the main altar of the church. I think it was Bl. Miguel and Bl. Kateri in the main altar but they can't really be venerated as such now that they are in there, hence reliquaries in the side altars.

Beautiful! My husband & I just returned from Rome (25th Anniv. trip) and this church reminds me of a church in Rome. Is this church in Wisconsin? Near La Crosse? I'd love to visit it someday.

Oh, and we also just saw 'For Greater Glory' and it interested me in the martyrs of the Cristeros wars.

Yes, the Shrine is on the south end of La Crosse.
