Ah! Perhaps he came down to check out the Wednesday night candlelit Mass. Sixteen hours ago would have been a little after 9 p.m. ... just about after Mass ends.
It's true! He went to the 9pm Candlelight Mass at St. Paul's(which was stunningly beautiful), at which Bishop Morlino was the principal celebrant. If only he could've stayed longer!
