WFA: Sex-ed repeal/revision & 2 pro-life bills up for a vote in Wis. Assembly Tuesday, 3/13

The following three (3) bills that WFA has been actively involved with this session are on the Assembly's agenda for a floor vote this coming Tuesday, March 13. If the Assembly passes the bills, they will go to the governor for signing.

Assembly Bill 337, the Strong Communities...Healthy Kids Act--a bill that revises and repeals the so-called "Healthy Youth Act" (sex-ed law for public schools) passed last session by Madison & Milwaukee liberal elites at the urging of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin. Passed in Senate (SB 237).
WFA has led a coalition in support of this bill, testified in hearings, and urged legislators to pass this measure through active in-person lobbying and legislative memos.

Assembly Bill 371 - Abortion Coercion and Webcam Abortion Prohibition
The bill modifies current law to ensure women are not forced into an abortion and that women obtaining an abortion get in-person medical attention--a preemptive strike against so-called "web cam abortions" that are being done in other states. Senate companion is SB 306, which has already passed.
WFA supports this bill and has issued a legislative memo on it.

Assembly Bill 154
- Abortion Opt-Out bill ,
This bill prohibits taxpayer funded-coverage of abortions through health plans sold through prohibiting coverage of abortions through health plans sold through exchanges under Obamacare. Senate version is SB 92, which has already passed.
WFA supports this bill; provided testimony in public hearings.
