Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. 2 Thes 2:15
Our Lady, Queen of the Angels, ora pro nobis!

Fr Z on the plenary indulgence for visiting a Franciscan Chapel to Our Lady of the Angels today..... There's one in La Crosse, but I'm forbidden from entering it.
The original Portiuncula is now within the Basilica of Mary Queen of the Angels in Assisi.

The indulgence extends to all the faithful and to all parish churches until midnight tonight. To obtain it, the same requirement as that for any plenerary indulgence. If I were you, I would make a quick trip to the shrine of OL Guadalupe though.
But anyway - how can a person be banned from entering a Catholic church?

So let it be written, so let it be done.
Gotcha. I had no idea.
Some friends and I happened to be in LaCrosse yesterday, so I tried to stop by and make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament at the FSPA convent. Unfortunately, we was told to leave the premises immediately because it is the sisters private chapel, and no others are allowed...
WOW Ali!
One time I took my Confirmation class on a tour and one of my students mentioned he was going to the seminary at St. Mary's the next year. The woman(not one of the sisters though) said something along the line of, it will be nice when they finally let women into the priesthood....
I guess it's kind of a good ol' girls club there.
