This week's theme for Alpha Omega is "Live Hard and Die Free," (reminiscent of the Bruce Willis movie "Live Free or Die Hard"). [I like that!]St. Paul's
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” – Mark 12:30
Fr. Rick Heilman, who will be speaking, is an expert on "living hard." He recently wrote "The Church Militant Field Manual," along with a companion pocket prayer book and journal book, developed a 26-part video series, and created a brand new website (http://www.churchmilitant.com/), which is based on the Field Manual.
Fr. Rick's resources can be summarized as follows:
“For the courageous faithful in the trenches of the Church Militant who seek the basic training that is vital for awakening faith, battling evil and rescuing souls."
As always, Newman Dinner will be served at 5:45 PM in Newman Hall in the basement of St. Paul University Catholic Center.
Rumor has it that they are serving lemon rosemary chicken, mushroom rice pilaf, green beans, and a beautiful strawberry shortcake for dessert!
This might sound stupid on my part, but I didn't know Father was doing a video series on the Field Manual. I should probably do a post on that!
