Argument OTM April 9th to offer Traditional Latin Mass, "Father X" talks "fighting the good fight in his parish"

Are We Preserving Our Catholic Traditions?
There's a growing awareness that the Catholic Faith is under attack. When I opened Google this very Easter day the iconic, "Google" banner proclaimed the birthday of Cesar Chavez as if that were the most significant event this day - never mind Christ's victory over sin and death. The faith is openly denied or challenged by public figures (and corporations), some who even claim to be Catholic. The answer to this challenge is to recall what our faith teaches and its ancient traditions, but how well are these being observed even by well-intentioned and "conservative" Catholics?

We are in a precarious position. One that calls us both to retain what has been handed down to us and to be salt and light in this secular age. Have the attempts of the Church to address the problems of modern man caused us to forget who we are? What is the Catholic tradition to which we must hold fast?

What is AOTM Doing?

On April 9th at 5:30 PM Fr. Echert will offer a Tridentine (Latin) mass at Saint Augustine. The mass will be celebrated in the sanctuary on the main floor, which is accessible by the front entrance on the south side. The normal Argument of the Month will follow. What better introduction to a discussion of Catholic Tradition than the ancient form of the mass. See our web site for more details:

We are not disclosing our speaker this month. Let's call him Father X. Father X is a Catholic Priest who has been fighting the good fight in his parish and community to retain our Catholic Traditions in a world almost entirely hostile to Jesus Christ. He will discuss the importance of remembering who we are, and address why so many traditions cause controversy even among Catholics themselves.

We hope you can join us for mass and the presentation to follow. A most blessed Easter to you and your families.

While there might be "people who aren’t happy unless they are unhappy" as mentioned in one comment, consider the middle position, the person whose enjoyments include, but are not limited to, complaining.
