I really should apply.  The sad thing is that could you imagine if this center was authentically Catholic and Franciscan?  What a blessing it would be!  Think Kolbe, Total Consecration, yep!  But I've seen no indications that they are ready to reform.  Nothing but indignation over LCWR talks.  No honest assessments seem on the horizon.  I feel so connected historically with this order which is why I think I am so saddened by their current state.

I should mention that they had Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, one of the stations was a protest in front of a bank.

I guess I can't interview if I can't even step foot on the grounds.

A protest in front of a bank - which station could that have been? Stripping of the garments?

Looking for a job, but obviously I am unqualified. I am opposed to Reiki & other New Age stuff. & support the LCWR reform.
Given what they promote, I would sincerely love to know they claim they are rooted in the Gospel. Oh wait, maybe they are the tares Jesus mentions. ;)
Agree that it is too bad they are not authenticly Catholic.

I'm glad you were praying with them, sad to see they kicked you out. Playing devils advocate - do you think it would have been worth it to respectfully confront them about this before posting it online?

I didn't think it was a sensitive topic, and why should it be? If I saw this sign at the back of a parish church I would post it without confronting anyone. As my original post stated, if I had posted a picture about the ugly red carpet, there would have been no problem. Should I have confronted them about the ugly red carpet before posting a picture? But I'm sure dioceses and other Church institutions can be hyper sensitive about some of their failures as well, so I don't think it's something unique to the FSPA. I don't understand why if they truly believe New Age spirituality is good, they would want to conceal the fact they are participating in it. Come out and say, here it is, it's good, everyone should do it.
