Apple Valley MN man's trial in death of wife, "fetus" opens this week

Power to the fetuses!
A run for breakfast, an ominous Internet search history and hints of cracks in a young marriage will loom large in coming weeks as an Apple Valley man goes on trial in the death of his pregnant wife.

Roger Earl Holland, 36, faces charges of first-degree and second-degree murder in the March 7 deaths of his wife, 37-year-old Margorie Holland, and her 15-week old fetus.

Jury selection began this week in a trial expected to last about three weeks. If Holland is convicted, the charges carry a sentence of life in prison without parole.

ROFL.  Is it only a "fetus" if he or she is dead or going to die?  Is anybody talking about Kelly Clarkson's "fetus?"  My mistake, foetus or fœtus, whatever.  The report is literally that the "charge" is the "murder of a 15-week old fetus."  The charge is not the murder of a "fetus," it's the murder of a baby.
