Abp. Listecki at WTMJ delivering Christmas message

620 WTMJ
Monday, December 23rd to share his annual Christmas message.

This year’s message was a simple one:

“What generates our coming to Bethlehem for Christ is the aspect of God’s generous love for us. And that generous love has to be taken and integrated into our hearts and shared with all of our brothers and sisters. We have to reach out and see our oneness and solidarity.”

Archbishop Listecki also stressed the importance of remembering that God is with us this holiday season and not to get too wrapped up in consumerism.

“We have many complex problems and interests that pull us apart,” said Archbishop Listecki. “To understand that God is with us forces us to take a look at the mystery about life. And not just take everything in terms of its materiality or the success or failure of aspects or projects that we accomplish, but that the mystery is that God is there, God is present.”

When the holiday season gets busy, Archbishop Listecki said he keeps himself grounded with prayer and encouraged others to do the same. Click here to listen to the complete interview from “Wisconsin’s Morning News.”
