Tuesday marked a big step for Catholic education in the Fox Valley.Fox11
The various Catholic parishes of Neenah and Menasha broke ground on a new middle school. It will be built on the site of the current St. Mary Central High School in Neenah.
Fundraising for the $11 million school is already at 80%.
Bishop David Ricken of the Diocese of Green Bay says the new school is a sign of interest in Catholic education.
“It’s really been great to see the enthusiasm and the commitment of the local Catholic community but really the entire community for this wonderful project.”
The new St. Mary Catholic Middle School is slated to open September 2015.
