Extraordinary Form Confirmation Set for this Fall Fr. Erickson recently verified that His Excellency, Bishop Andrew Cozzens, will celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation on October 11, 2014, according to the liturgical books of 1962. This ceremony will take place in the Cathedral of Saint Paul, and will be preceded by the celebration of Holy Mass according to the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. The confirmation will begin at 10am. Within the communication I have received, Fr. Erickson reminded all of us priests that Archdiocesan regulations still pertain: “ Please note that all the usual Archdiocesan norms apply – the candidates must be in at least the 8th grade (generally at least 13 years old), and have participated in the parish program of sacramental preparation. The applicable Clergy Bulletin may be found here. Individual exceptions to these policies may be requested of His Excellency, Archbishop Nienstedt, based upon particular circumstances. Letters requesting such dispensation should be sent to His Excellency directly.”St. Agnes bulletin - St Paul MN

Please join me in thanking Bishop Cozzens for his generosity in offering this sacrament in the Extraordinary Form. May the Holy Spirit enlighten all of those to be confirmed.

Does anyone know if there has been an EF mass celebrated in the Cathedral since 1969?
The answer I was told was 1965
