Green Bay -- Reverend Joseph Dorner to Rector of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral and Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Parish from Pastor of Holy Family Parish, Marinette, effective August 1, 2014.

Green Bay -- Reverend John Girotti to the full-time study of Canon Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., from Rector of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral and Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Parish, effective May 11, 2014.

In the Diocese of La Crosse the "official" announcement comes out in the following week's edition of the Catholic Times. It is always announced in the parish the weekend before so that parishioners are hearing it from their pastor first and not finding out by reading it in the paper. A fittingly pastoral approach I think.
