Well, Bob is not Our Lord, but he has been singularly blessed by Him with the gift of poetry in the service of beauty and truth. Still, many speak out against him, how they dare I don't know.
Today it was announced that Bob Dylan is the winner of the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature. 'Bout time.

I wonder if what I've said is a backhanded compliment. I like Dylan's early work a lot. Very much, in fact. Times are a changed - and I'm almost illiterate and an aging hippie too - so it might not matter what I think.

LOL! I didn't really think of it until he mentioned it, but yeah, I guess? He really is a fantastic poet, and the fact technology allowed him to record it to song makes it all the more intriguing.

Dylan's Christianity was unpopular with some fans and musicians. John Lennon recorded "Serve Yourself" in response to Dylan's "Gotta Serve Somebody".
This made me really decide to listen to more of Dylan's stuff. I know you may want to ... stone me.. but I've never liked the Beatles anyway, not for any particular reason, just could never get into it. But I like the folksy stuff like Dylans.
That's cool. I never liked Lennon. I was always pleasantly surprised about Dylan's Christianity.
