Minnesota Parents Sue To Get Trans Classes In Kindergarten

Parents of a five-year-old trans-questioning child have filed a complaint against a charter school for refusing to teach harmful, anti-science beliefs about human biology.

Parents of a 5-year-old “transgender child” have filed a complaint against a St. Paul charter school, alleging it failed to protect him from bullying and refused to teach all the students their preferred transgender-awareness curriculum.

David and Hannah Edwards, whose child was born a boy but now thinks he’s a girl, has filed with the city’s Department of Human Rights, claiming their child “wasn’t able to take full advantage of Nova’s educational opportunities because of her gender identity and expression. This violated her rights.”

When the boy showed up at school wearing pink tennis shoes and wanting to wear a jumper like the girls in gym class, other children reportedly pointed and laughed at him. The parents contacted the school and wanted something done to protect their child from bullying, despite the fact that the school currently has an anti-bullying policy.

Nova Classical Academy’s executive director, Eric Williams, told 5 Eyewitness News the school has a mandatory policy, called the Bullying Prohibition Policy, which they are simply trying to follow. “He says that means providing a safe and welcoming environment for all students, regardless of their status.”

Because the Edwards begot their political beliefs into a personal anti-science religion, they are compelled to evangelize all others, better than any Mormon missionary can do door to door.  These will be common occurrences so I hope all of our private schools have a plan of actions when these situations arise.  It seems doubtful the parents really had an intention of supporting the school, but were baiting for some legal action.

Archbishop Nienstedt Terminates Music Director After Gay-Marriage

A music director at a Minnesota Catholic church was forced to resign after he married his long-time partner.

Jamie Moore had been the music director at St. Victoria Catholic Church in Victoria.

This past weekend, Moore married his partner, Garrett.
...
After marrying his long-time partner over the weekend, parishioners got an email from Father Bob White.

It told them that Archbishop John Nienstedt had asked for Moore’s resignation, and Moore intended to resign.

In a statement, Nienstedt said he was contacted by St. Victoria about the situation with Moore, and he told parish leaders that the church’s teachings must be upheld.

Nienstedt referred to the church’s code of conduct — a policy all church employees sign upon employment, which states the following:

“The … conduct of church employees can inspire and motivate people, but it can also scandalize and undermine their faith. Church employees must … recognize and accept the responsibilities that accompany their ministry.”

I wish I could relay the last AOTM I attended, it touched on what employees sign.  Basically, the only safe way to avoid lawsuits is to not leave it vague - it can be argued in civil law that a person does not know what the intent of say "the responsibilities that accompany their ministry."  It should literally lay out the common topics of the day, like gay unions or invalid marriages.  The argument could be made if you have a second "marriage" Catholic in Church ministry, this is just as scandalous(it is in my opinion).  So ya better be consistent is the point.

Abp. Nienstedt steps aside amidst allegations of inappropriately touching boy

SNAP is making I think some major mistakes here...  They run the risk of illegitimizing every true crime that they claim to be rooting out.   They didn't pour it on as much in Milwaukee, maybe because the Archdiocese had already declared bankruptcy?  Or is this because +Nienstedt defended natural marriage?  I'm not sure.

I mean, this makes sense if it's the homosexualists, because they can use this to throw at him after he is vindicated.  Their agenda has always been less concerned with true justice than SNAP has been.  Maybe now they hope he won't try to defend Christians in MN civil law, and maybe will get with the times and change the Western teaching of natural law in the process.  And actually, SNAP gets the blame for overreaching on their prosecution if this whole thing blows up in that case.

Now everyone is waiting for the accusers to go to the police.... assuming they will now actually seek to press charges, otherwise... what's the point right?  It's going to look very bad if this is the boy who cried wolf.

The circus has moved out of the curia in St. Paul to a mob of lunatics across the street who will say and do anything to get what they want.
The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis today announced that an allegation has been brought by a mandated reporter within the Church to the St. Paul Police of inappropriate touching of a minor male on the buttocks by Archbishop John Nienstedt. The single incident is alleged to have occurred in 2009 during a group photography session with the archbishop following a confirmation ceremony. Archbishop Nienstedt emphatically denies the allegation. Upon learning of the allegation last week, the archdiocese instructed the mandated reporter to make the matter known to the police. The archbishop and the archdiocese stand ready to cooperate fully with the St. Paul Police.

After consultation with the Holy Father’s ambassador to the United States (the papal nuncio), the archbishop will voluntarily step aside from all public ministry while this matter is being investigated, effective immediately. Auxiliary Bishop Lee Piché, in his role as a vicar general, will cover all of the archbishop’s public duties during this time. Father Charles Lachowitzer continues in his position as a vicar general and moderator of the curia.

The archdiocese is mindful of the due process concerns of those involved. There must be justice and due consideration of the rights and dignity of every human person, both the individual involved and the archbishop. This is not only the bedrock of our beliefs as Catholics, but also of the justice system of our country.

1 in 3 Minnesota marriage licenses since Aug. 1st go to same-sex couples

Same-sex couples received nearly 1 in 3 marriage licenses issued in Minnesota since they were allowed to wed, The Associated Press found in a statewide survey of the first month's impact of the new gay marriage law.

Since Minnesota became the 12th U.S. state to legalize gay marriage, at least 1,640 same-sex couples applied to be married. Counties aren't required to report such data to the state, so the AP built a database through calls to all 87 counties.

Millions of dollars were spent trying to block gay marriage in Minnesota, while many millions more were spent trying to achieve it. The rush by same-sex couples to take advantage of the new law likely reflects a pent-up demand by couples together for many years.
