Event: Una Voce La Crosse hosts TLM for St. Joseph Feast, Bp William Callahan homilist

Join us for Sung Holy Mass in the Extraordinary Form to celebrate the Patron Saint of our diocese, St. Joseph. Our celebrant will be Fr. Joseph Redfern.

We are most pleased to announce that His Excellency Bishop William Callahan will be joining us for the celebration of the Mass and will preach the sermon on that wonderful feast day!

Worship aids are available to help all the faithful participate even if unfamiliar with the Extraordinary Form, with translations of all the texts used during Mass.

Refreshments to follow Mass in the refectory.

Bishop Callahan said at the La Crosse Men's Conference last fall that he as a special devotion to St. Joseph so this should be a treat!  Would be a great opportunity for any first timers to the Extraordinary Form.  *nudge nudge*  Be there or be ... well, just be there already!

I believe the plan is to have a traditional Italian feast afterwards in the refectory.

Christopher Check, president of Catholic Answers, to speak at Una Voce La Crosse Sat. Nov 7th

Hammer of Heretics! Since it is First Saturday the Mass will be for The Blessed Virgin Mary.  Also on Facebook here.

The topic is apropos with Synod-gate playing out before our eyes.  Christopher Check is an excellent speaker, one of my personal favorites.

We will have the autumn colors in full effect, and combine this with a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who could ask for more!  It will be well worth the drive.

Father Z also humorously notes an exchange with David, the Una Voce La Crosse president.

The event took place at the La Crosse Diocese's Christ the King Chapel.  We had 120 or so in attendance, which was huge, we didn't expect such a large response.  We are looking forward to our next event (pencil in the morning of Nov. 7th).

Extraordinary Form - La Crosse

Una Voce La Crosse hosts Extraordinary Form Mass Sept 14 - Exaltation of the Holy Cross

Please mark your calendars. Una Voce La Crosse will sponsor our first traditional Latin Mass on Monday, September 14 at 7:00 pm in Christ the King Chapel at the Diocesan Center, to celebrate the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and the anniversary of the promulgation of Summorum Pontificum, the papal decree which provided for much wider celebration of the Extraordinary Form in the Church. The celebrant will be Msgr. Michael Gorman and the Mass will feature Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony.

Handouts will be available for those unfamiliar with the Latin Mass, so feel free to invite friends and family. Our modern culture has to a great extent tuned out the true and the good, but the human heart can still be moved by the beautiful.

Come join us for a beautiful liturgy and a time of refreshments and socializing afterwards.
Msgr. Gorman is also the Vicar General of the La Crosse Diocese.   The Christ the King Chapel can be entered at the entryway at the back of the diocesan center.

The Sacred Triduum was celebrated in the Extraordinary Form at St. Mary’s Ridge and Easter Morning was crowned by a beautiful traditional Latin Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
