Campaign for Couch Potatoes in Green Bay

Green Bay seeks to regain members amid controversy
The Green Bay diocese is part of a national pilot campaign aimed at bringing people back into the church with television ads running through the Lenten season, inviting Catholics to "come home."

... the 65.2 million Catholics in the country constitute about one-fifth of the population, with about 350,000 of them in the 16-county region under the Green Bay diocese.

..Catholic churches make up half of the membership of ESTHER and JOSHUA, two interfaith groups Ricken met with recently over concerns about the relationship to national and state organizations that could take positions counter to Catholic doctrine.

"I don't want to put my people in a position where they have to make choices to jeopardize their relationship to the church," Ricken said. "These groups are doing very good work. We want to be proactive about working out things that could be a possible confusion."

Booyah Bp. Ricken!  The article goes on to say Catholics leave because they don't believe doctrine.  I've been to Mass in Green Bay and it's not hard to see why.

I haven't seen the ads, has anyone else?
