Callahan and Francis

Callahan is a member of the Conventual Franciscans of the St. Bonaventure Province in Chicago. What that means, he said, is he lives the Franciscan way of life, modeled after the spirit of St. Francis.

"It's time to take him out of the birdbath,"[WOW, love that statement!] he said, and tap into his vision of how to live and love each other and God.

"We're sharing this vision of God among us. That's Franciscan."

His priorities are making clear the Catholic identity[IDENTITY], "giving us a clearer idea of who we are and what we are as Catholics - pride in the church."

The Most Rev. William Patrick Callahan is bishop designate for the La Crosse diocese until he assumes his new duties Aug. 11[Yup Feast of St Clare].

The real St Francis is needed more than ever in our time.  Neo-Christian orders like the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration has warped Francis into a hippie worshiping mother earth and instructing Clare to wear a pants while advocating for papal funded universal health care.

Care to meet the real Francis?
