Marquette Warrior blogger harrassed by school provost

John Pauly, provost of Marquette University here in Milwaukee, is demanding a meeting with John McAdams, Marquette University Professor.

The subtext is McAdams inquiries of Anahi Sanchez, who was the Marquette contact for a planned performance of “The Vagina Monologues” to be held on campus (the complete inappropriateness of that play being performed on a Catholic college campus is a subject for another post).

But, in summation: McAdams has been critical of Marquette administration and especially Provost Pauly — who McAdams proved wrong about scheduling classes at 8:00 am — and this smells to me like nothing more than payback for writing a politically incorrect blog.

I support McAdams and suggest you politely contact Provost Pauly to ask him what’s so incompatible about being a professor and journalist-blogger, his reason for wanting to meet with McAdams.
