St Michael Broadcasting in the Twin Cities

Fr. Kenneth Baker, SJ, Founder
I understand that Comcast no longer carries EWTN on most of its cable packages.

Most of you probably aren't aware that there is a Catholic television station in Minneapolis, Channel 16 that broadcasts EWTN 24/7 on 16/2, 16/4 and 16/5. It also has recorded programming, including Michael Voris, Fr. Robert Barron, Bishop Sheen, Fr. Groeschel, really old movies on Fridays and Saturdays, etc. on Channel 16/3 in the Evenings between 7 and 11.

Those of you who know of the Sanctus Belle in Mankato, and who blogs devotionally at ourladystears.blogspot.com might not be aware that she and her husband (and others) have formed a film production company, Our Lady's Tears Productions LLC.

Channel 16 has broadcast some of their films. Click on the home page to view a trailer for one of their upcoming productions. The production values are incredible.

One, filmed at the St. Paul Cathedral, about 20 minutes long, was on St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It has been shown several times on Channel 16.

Their schedule is on 16/1.

You have to switch your television from "cable" to "broadcast" in order to get their programming. While their power isn't very powerful, they do have their antenna on top of the IDS building in Minneapolis so they do cover a significant portion of the Twin Cities area.

They mail out a monthly schedule/newsletter monthly to supporters. I was just looking at it and noticed the following:
Latin Mass Fund If you would like your contribution to go to our efforts to broadcast the Mass in Latin (Tridentine form), please include a note with your contribution.
I have no idea which of the EF Masses they would like to broadcast, but it would be nice if it were St. Agnes, with the music accompaniment. Their web page is at www.stmichaelbroadcasting.com. Michael Bird is the President of the station company.

I wonder what the costs would be to expand to my area?

Too bad this didn't exist when I lived in Hudson. It looks like the stations should come in.
