Cdl Burke Pontifical Mass at St. Mary's in Wausau, WI May 31st

This year Divine Providence has made possible such special events such as the Pontifical Mass celebrated on May 31 by His Eminence, Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Dedication of St. Mary’s in Wausau, as well as the annual priestly retreat for the Canons preached by the Prior General of the Institute from June 3-7 and the retreat for the Society of the Sacred Heart on the weekend of June 14-16.

I love the Institute but I rarely hear about their events.  Glad I caught something as significant as this before it takes place.

The Pontifical Mass looks to be at 4:00 p.m., with confirmations that morning at 10:00 a.m.

This would be the first Traditional Pontifical Mass in Wisconsin in at least 50 years.  Would be interesting to know when the last one was done.

Bp. Perry celebrated Mass at St. Stanislaus in Milwaukee on September 14,2007.
Bishop Morlino did two, in the fall of 07 and 08.

The photo at the top of the Traditional Mass Society of Madison's website (latinmassmadison.org) is of Bp Morlino celebrating a Solemn Pontifical TLM at Holy Redeemer in Madison (I'm not sure which one of the two it is from).

Two years in a row there had been plans to have another which were postponed due to illnesses within the Society of Jesus Christ the Priest. Hopefully the next will come soon.
