Green Bay Diocese hosts Red Mass, Federal Judge speaker Oct 16 for legal community

The annual Red Mass for the Diocese of Green Bay will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at 5 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay | Click Here for interactive map. The celebrant will be Bishop David L. Ricken.

The Red Mass marks the traditional opening of the judicial year in the U.S. During this Mass, all members of the legal community and those who hold public office, including judges, governmental officials, attorneys, legal staff, paralegals and law school faculty, are reminded of the importance of their vocations and ask for God's guidance in administering their office or position with wisdom, justice, fortitude, compassion and counsel.
