The third annual Walk to Mary pilgrimage will be [was last] Saturday.continue at GB Press Gazette
The walking pilgrimage, which supports Catholic education for children, starts at the National Shrine of St. Joseph at St. Norbert Abbey in De Pere shortly after 7 a.m. and follows a 21-mile route to The Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion.
Organizers said about 1,000 people from throughout the United States are registered for the event. Registration, which is only being taken online, was to close Thursday night at walktomary.com.
This always sneaks up on me, I'd love to attend one of these years.
Also I don't remember posting this, but EWTN did a documentary on the event last fall.
Update: Sam Lucero reported around 500 people, so I updated the title to reflect.
