Bp. Ricken blesses "every inch" of new $11 million middle school in Menasha

TOWN OF MENASHA – One year after they broke ground for a new middle school, officials from the Twin City Catholic Educational System and the Diocese of Green Bay dedicated the new building, St. Mary Catholic Middle School.

The grade 6-8 school will replace the aging Seton Middle School in Menasha next school year. The new school is located on the same campus as St. Mary Central High School, which will give middle-schoolers access to the Fine Arts Education Center, athletic fields and more.

"This brand new facility offers various learning environments … where we can create an environment for our students to grow and thrive from a knowledge base as well as experiences," said Helen Englebert, system president.

Bishop David Ricken said he toured the new school prior to the dedication ceremony on Wednesday and blessed "every inch" of it. He gave another blessing during the ceremony.
