Packers head coach Mike McCarthy to headline men's conference in Green Bay March 5

Bishop David Zubik gives a blessing to Mike McCarthy,
head coach of the Green Bay Packers, at the conclusion
of the Oct. 20 program at St. Rosalia Academy.
Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy will be among the keynote speakers for the “Men for All Seasons: A Men’s Spirituality Conference” on March 5 at Green Bay’s KI Convention Center, 333 Main St.

The conference is an extension of the A Day for Men program held at St. Norbert Abbey in De Pere in previous years. St. Norbert Abbey is hosting the conference in collaboration with the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and Esto Vir. [A good thing]

The event will run from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Men of all ages are invited to participate in a day of inspiration, education, challenge, community and prayer.

Is this then replacing the Esto Vir men's conference?  It appears so.

I would really like to go, I've got to go to Palo Alto for work though, not sure if I can swing it.

Esto Vir Men's Conference review

Kindly, a reader has send us some feedback from the Green Bay Men's Conference
1.  Walk to Mary - Saturday, May 4 - A one day 22-mile walking pilgrimage from the Nat'l Shrine of St. Joseph to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help. Intended to be an annual pilgrimage. Potentially 500 to 1000 pilgrims participating this year based on initial interest. Website will launch sometime this week. www.walktomary.com

2.  Fastforward - Kind of a combination of the Little Way and a new way to look at fasting and penance. Bishop Ricken and Fr. Rocky involved...very popular vendor table at the conference. Target audience - 18-30 yr olds. www.wefastforward.com

3.  The Calling - A vocations DVD put out by The Power of Life, Inc. (same people who did Fastforward), Diocese of Green Bay and Relevant Radio involved as well. I have a copy if you want to see it. It's not as good as Fishers of Men but it's decent.

4.  Bishop Morlino was the featured speaker...wow! I was only able to catch parts of both talks, but they were phenomenal! His talks eventually will be online http://www.estovir.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=49&Itemid=37
I checked and both talks are online on the right hand side of the page.

Esto Vir Men's Conference in Appleton March 2nd

Great to see them extend the invite to Bp. Morlino, perhaps they've done this before, I can't remember now.   A good looking lineup.  Fr. Menezes spoke at Men of Christ in Milwauke a couple years ago, very good.  And now of course the Fathers of Mercy serve at the Good Help Shrine.
